About the BDPAC Watershed Subcommittee
The BDPAC Watershed Subcommittee (formerly known as the Watershed Work Group) was formed in 1998 to assist in the development and implementation of CALFED'S Watershed Program Plan. The subcommittee is co-chaired by Robert Meacher (Regional Council for Rural Counties) and Martha Davis (Inland Empire Utilities Agency). Since the first subcommittee meeting in August 1998, over 300 individuals with a wide array of interests have participated in the meetings. The formation and interaction of the subcommittee has been essential to the Watershed Program's development, and will continue to be during Program implementation.
"The Watershed Work Group has been a model of collaboration. The Watershed Work Group has proven that a large inclusive group can be as successful, if not more, than smaller exclusive work groups."
-Lynn Barris, Sacramento River Watershed Program Resource Center.
"Participating in the Watershed Work Group has enabled me to make contacts with other watershed programs around the state, learning what issues are the same and those that are different. I have learned a lot and have been able to teach a lot about the San Joaquin Valley as well."
-Nettie Drake, Silver/Panoche Watershed CRMP Coordinator.
How to Get Involved
